TOWSON, Md. – Freshman Kelvin Del Cid was named Landmark Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week after registering two shutouts, announced by the organization Monday afternoon.

Del Cid finished the week registering two saves and not allowing a goal in both of Elizabethtown's games against Alvernia (3-0) and Arcadia (2-0). He has now backstopped three consecutive victories for the Blue Jays, allowing one goal over that stretch.

Del Cid leads the conference in saves (40), is fourth in save percentage (.833) and fifth in goals-against average (1.08).

Elizabethtown is back in action at home against arch-rival Messiah on Wednesday, September 25. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
