PERRY, N.Y. -- Jeremy Klipple became the fifth different player in Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse program history to be recognized as USILA Division III Scholar All-American.
One of the top defensive players to come through E-town, Klipple made his mark at the institution and conference level on the field. The all-time leader in caused turnovers now adds to his list of accolades, this time on the academic side.
Nominees for the honor must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale) with senior academic standing. He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a Senior All-Star Game Selection, or an outstanding league or conference player. While being an all-star game selection and/or all-conference doesn't necessarily make the player a lock, Klipple checked off all three boxes for the Blue Jays in 2019.
He becomes the first to earn the honor since Joe Clark in 2016. Klipple is the first scholar all-american under head coach
Chris Perzinski.
