ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College announced that they've found their new softball coach. On Wednesday, it was announced that
Kathy Staib will return to the head coaching role for 2019-20.
"I am thrilled that
Kathy Staib will be leading our softball student-athletes as their head coach, once again" said Director of Athletics
Chris Morgan. "Kathy has successfully served the College since 2002, and the role of head coach is one that fits her perfectly. I look forward to supporting Kathy and the student-athletes in our softball program as they strive for excellence on and off the field."
In November 2018, Staib transitioned from a 15-year stint as the Blue Jays' head coach to focus on her role as the department's full-time assistant director of athletics, a position she held for the last 13 years alongside her coaching duties.

"I'm excited to serve as the head softball coach, after a short hiatus," said Staib. "It excites me to not only develop strong softball players, but, great students, confident women and proud members of the Blue Jay family."Â
Staib added, "I look forward to continuing relationships with not only our current student-athletes, but also our alumnae as we head into the program's 42
nd season."
Staib will continue to serve in her roles as assistant director of athletics and senior woman administrator along with her renewed head coaching responsibilities.
