ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- On Senior Day,
Nick Strobel earned a win in singles play for the Elizabethtown College men's tennis team. E-town won a pair of singles matches, but the rest went to Catholic in a 7-2 Landmark Conference win for the Cardinals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Catholic (3-8, 1-3 Landmark) would take the first two doubles matches to go up 2-0.
Tyler Spinello and Strobel were neck-and-neck with Matt Pham and Eric Macarski at No. 1 doubles. The Cardinals eeked out an 8-7 (8-6) win to go into singles ahead 3-0.
- Though CATHU won the first two singles matches that finished, Strobel gave Elizabethtown (1-8, 0-5 Landmark) its first point of the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles.

Evan Winters did not have much trouble at No. 5 singles, winning easily 6-1, 6-1.
- No. 4 and 6 singles matches needed three sets to be decided, each in favor of Catholic.
