ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's golf team shot a combined 345 (+61) to take ninth at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational on Tuesday at the Hanover Country Club.
Garrett Leib was E-town's top performer with his best finish of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Leib was even through the first three holes, including a five on the 519-yard par five first hole. Leib birdied the par four 13th and finish the back nine a shot better than the front. He was one of his season best and ended at +11 (82). He was also one of only three players to record a birdie on the 13th. Teammates
Caleb Clements and
Michael Zabrecky also shot three on the hole.
- Leib was a season-best tied for 21st at the invitational.

Evan Kreiser was three shots off Leib's pace, recording a +14 (85) to tied for 30th. He had one birdie on the round, a two on the 154-yard par three second hole.

Caleb Clements played both par five's to an even score on the front nine and also recorded par on the par four eighth hole. The first two holes of the back nine were also par scores for Clements, who came back from a six at 12 to birdie the 13th. He was +17 and tied for 41st.
- Zabrecky was at +2 after three holes on the scorecard for the back nine, but got a shot back at the 13th. Zabrecky, like Leib and Clements, drained a birdie on the 406-yard par four 13th. He finished at +19.

Brady McLamb scored par on the par three 2nd, par five 4th, and par four 9th of the front nine and saved par on the 418-yard par four 12th. McLamb tied his season-best at +23 .
