Blue Jays downed by Scranton

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's tennis team moved its Landmark Conference match to the Racquet Club West on Sunday to avoid the rainy weather. There, Scranton bested the Blue Jays, 7-2. Meghan Chemidlin won twice and moved within a win of 100 for her career.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elizabethtown (9-3, 5-2 Landmark) switched up its first and second doubles teams as Chemidlin bumped up to play No. 1 with Lenea Riehl. The combo worked for the Blue Jays as they won 8-5 over Nastashia DeNunzio and Marissa Campo.
- Scranton (10-6, 6-1 Landmark) took the other two doubles matches and a 2-1 lead into singles.
- Chemidlin won at No. 3 singles, the 99th of her career, to go to 11-1 on the season. Her 11 wins in singles action is a team-high and she also remained unbeaten in the Landmark at 6-0. The senior is 9-1 in her last ten singles matches.
- The Royals won five of the six singles matches to take Sunday's match, 7-2.
