SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Susquehanna won each match between doubles and singles with the Elizabethtown College men's tennis team on Saturday at the Garrett Center Tennis Courts.
Colby Martin and
Evan Winters fought at No. 2 doubles for Elizabethtown (1-5, 0-2 Landmark), but were unable to capture the point for the Blue Jays as Susquehanna (10-1, 1-0 Landmark) went ahead 3-0 heading into the six singles matches.
Tyler Spinello and Winters were in tight ones at No. 1 and 4 singles, respectively, though Ben Ornstein got the point over Spinello and Emil Vyskocil won over Winters. The second set between
Nick Strobel and Alexander Dove needed a tiebreaker, which went Dove's way as he closed out No. 2 singles.
The River Hawks' win kept the Blue Jays winless in the Landmark Conference through two matches.
Elizabethtown plays at Juniata tomorrow at 11 a.m.
