HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Elizabethtown women's volleyball team fell to No. 22 Juniata, 3-0, on the road in the Landmark Conference Semifinals Wednesday night.
With the loss, the Blue Jays finish the season 25-10, while the Eagles improve to 21-8 on the season and move on to the Landmark Conference Championship against No. 18 Susquehanna. The 25 wins by Elizabethtown are the most since the 2007 team won 32 matches on its way to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Bryanna Miller led the Blue Jays with seven kills apiece. Sophomore
Rileigh Hudock registered a team-high 15 assists and junior
Aiyana Tietze-Di Toro added 13 digs.
ELIZABETHTOWN 0, JUNIATA 3 (15-25, 17-25, 16-25)
- SET ONE: Down four early in the first set, Elizabethtown clawed its way back to within one after a block by freshman Courtney Westman and Shatto followed by an ace from sophomore Elizabeth Zeiber, making the score 8-7. The Eagles, however, took the momentum back, rattling off four straight points for the 12-7 lead, forcing a Blue Jays timeout. Shatto came out of the timeout and sent home a kill to close within four (12-8), but Juniata would not allow Elizabethtown to move any closer, taking the opening set, 25-15.
- SET TWO: Falling behind 3-0 at the start of the second set, the Blue Jays went on a 5-1 run, capped by kills from Zeiber and Miller for the 5-4 advantage. The Eagles flipped it back on Elizabethtown, going on a 5-1 run of their own and forcing a timeout by the Blue Jays. Down by five shortly after the timeout (12-7), Elizabethtown scored two straight points to close the gap to 12-9. The home team however rattled off seven straight points to take a 19-9 lead, on its way to the 25-17 second set win.
- SET THREE: Down 7-3 at the start of the final set, the Blue Jays closed within two after back-to-back kills by sophomore Allison Fischer made the score 8-6. A 7-2 rally, however, gave Juniata the cushion they need, wrapping up the 3-0 victory in the third with the 25-14 win.
- EARLY OUTLOOK
Elizabethtown returns 14 players next season, including five starters. Congratulations to the Blue Jays lone senior, Elle Shatto, on an outstanding career, finishing with 1,096 kills, seventh most in program history, and 935 digs.
