FROSTBURG, Md. -- Sara Lingo,
Robin Hill, and
Marin Adams were each multiple event winners for the Elizabethtown College women's swimming team Saturday at Frostburg State. The Blue Jays improved to 3-0 with a 151-107 win over the Bobcats.
Lingo won her first of three events early in the meet with the 800 free. She swam 10:23.98 to finish 13 seconds ahead of the next finisher. Lingo also won the 200 backstroke in 2:40.93 and the 200 individual medley. Her winning time was 2:43.12.
Hill bested the field in the 200 free with a winning time of 2:23.69. She came back to win the 100 free in 1:05.36 and anchored the 400 free relay team that capped off the meet with a win in 4:37.36, beating Frostburg State by .21. Hill swam along with
Sadie Hawkins,
Abigail Mehring, and
Cate Falkenstein.
Adams won the 200 fly easily with a nine-second cushion on Gabby Thompson of Frostburg. Adams' winning time was 2:44.99. Adams made it two wins on the day with a narrow victory over the Bobcats' Aubree Morris in the 100 fly. Adams swam 1:16.08 while Morris touched in at 1:16.73.
The women's swimming team is at Catholic on Saturday, November 9, at 1 p.m.
