FROSTBURG, Md. -- The Elizabethtown College men's swimming team fell one point short at Frostburg State on the Saturday. The Bobcats squeaked past the Blue Jays with a 130-129 win in their first home meet of the season.
Nathan Tindell was the first event winner for Elizabethtown in the 800 free, winning in 9:37.58. He was one of six different swimmers to win an individual event against the Bobcats.
Alex Pecher led the Blue Jays with three event victories on the day, two individually and one relay. He won the 50 free in 25.57 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.73. Tindell was second behind Pecher in the 100 backstroke at 1:10.63. Pecher was also a part of the 400 free relay team that won to close out the meet.
Austin Dolaway,
Casey Marshall,
Alex Patterson, and Pecher combined for a final time of 3:47.06.
Marshall won the 100 fly earlier in the meet while Dolaway finished first in the 200 free.
Sam Lopez and Dolaway went one-two in the 100 free, split by eight-tenths of the second. Lopez won in 58.19.
Kyle Morrill was also victorious for E-town, winning the 200 breaststroke in 2:50.88.
