LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Elizabethtown softball team earned 2019 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Team Honors, while 11 members of the team were named to the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Team, announce by the organization on Wednesday.
The Blue Jays team GPA (3.45) ranked 48th in Division III and second in the Landmark Conference. It is the fifth straight year that the team earned Scholar Athlete Team Honors and the first time the team has landed in the top-50 overall.
The 11 athletes named to the team were:
Catherine Amos,
Lindsey Fasolo,
Madeline Hamilton,
Kady Johnson,
Amelia Lark,
Jillian Meitzler,
Ashley Mistichelli,
Sarah Personette,
Paige Phillips,
Alyssa Wilkinson and
Kaitlyn Witmer.
To earn a spot as an Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar, a student-athlete must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. In all, over 8,000 student-athletes (8,161) across three NCAA Divisions, the NAIA, two-year colleges, and high schools were named scholar-athlete All-Americans for 2019.
