ANNVILLE, Pa. -- Elizabethtown won all 14 events against a rebuilding Lebanon Valley program in a 215-30 dual victory on Monday evening.
Seven Blue Jays won multiple events, led by sophomore
Austin Dolaway, who claimed three victories.
Dolaway led off the 200-meter medley relay, teaming with
Tristan Koehler,
Brock Culver and
Connor Casey to win in 2:01.78 ahead of another E-town relay consisting of
Alex Pecher,
James McTighe,
JD Sterbens and
Nathan Tobler (2:01.91).
In the very next event, Dolaway, of Montrose, Pennsylvania, put down a 9:41.21 to beat teammates
Casey Marshall and Pecher in the 800 free.
Dolaway completed his hat trick of wins by anchoring the 200 free relay. Casey put E-town in front from the start with a 26.83 50-meter split. The rookie was followed by Marshall and
Brian Sylvestri ahead of Dolaway. Elizabethtown's winning time of 1:45.19 was two and a half seconds clear of another Blue Jay relay.
Alex Patterson, Pecher and
Nick Petrella each won a pair of individual races for the Blue and Gray (3-1).
Patterson pulled away for a six-second victory over
Connor DiLeo in the 200 free (2:15.67) and beat his teammate, Tobler, by just under two seconds in the 100 fly (1:07.68).
Pecher was the lone competitor in the 25-second range of the 50 free, going 25.61 to lead Casey in a 1-2 finish for the visitors. The sophomore from Hanover also won the 100 individual medley in 1:05.57, as E-town claimed the top three spots with Petrella second and
Colby Schalek third.
Petrella swept the 50 and 100 back in a pair of close races with fellow senior
Sam Hirshberg. Petrella clocked a 30.38 to Hirshberg's 30.93 in the 50-meter edition and posted a 1:06.41 to Hirshberg's 1:08.23 in the 100.
Sylvestri was the lone swimmer to break a minute in the 100 free with a 59.05 ahead of Sterbens (1:02.15). Marshall won the 50 fly in 27.09, and both men were part of the 200 free relay team that triumphed in the meet's final event.
Also collecting wins for E-town on Monday were
Ben Spangler in the 50 breast (34.42),
James McTighe in the 100 breast (1:18.41) and
Connor DiLeo in the 400 free (5:22.31).
After dropping four straight duals to the Dutchmen (0-5) between the 2012-13 and 2015-16 seasons, Elizabethtown has now won each of the last three meets with their former MAC rivals.
The Blue Jays will travel to Bryn Mawr College a week from Wednesday to face Cabrini in a neutral site dual at 6 p.m.
