WSWIM sets two season-bests in double dual at Bryn Mawr

BRYN MAWR, Pa. -- Elizabethtown College women's swimming put forth its best 200-yard freestyle relay time of the season and Sara Lingo set the Jays' quickest 1000-yard freestyle time in Wednesday night's double dual at Bryn Mawr. The Blue Jays fell to the host Owls, 132-72, and Cabrini, 117-88.

Lingo, competing in the 1000 free for the second time in as many meets, cut nearly 14 seconds off her performance against Lebanon Valley just over a week ago. Her time of 11:42.77 on Wednesday was good for second place and ranks 11th in the Landmark Conference this season.

Lingo was also part of the 200 free relay team that just nipped its previous best time by .09 seconds with a 1:51.53. Megan Anderson led off with Cheryl Errichetti following Lingo and Erika Cole anchoring.

Dru Schneider joined the free relay team and Lingo by posting a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke. Schneider recorded a 1:18.30, trailing only Bryn Mawr's Hannah Soisson at race's end.

Errichetti swam her fastest 50 free of the year with a 27.70, which is also Elizabethtown's (3-4) second best time in the event this year behind Cole's 26.56.

The Blue Jays are on the road at Landmark Conference foe Juniata, Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
