HERSHEY, Pa. – All 10 players on the Blue Jays' golf roster were able to tee it up Tuesday afternoon on the East Course at Hershey Country Club, as they hosted the Elizabethtown Invitational. Freshman Santiago Garcia's 9-over par 80 led the team to a seventh-place showing.

Garcia and sophomore Craig Eidle are the only players to appear in all three tournaments for the Blue and Gray this season. The Bogota, Colombia bred Garcia signed for his career-best round Tuesday, using 11 pars to do so. Garcia went on run of five straight pars between holes 13-17, finishing the back nine in 4-over 39 and the front in 5-over 41.

Hershey C.C. East played tough for all golfers. No one broke par or shot even on the day, with co-medalists Luke McKeogh and Zack Potten, both of Stevenson, coming closest after shooting 2-over 73. It's the first time in five Elizabethtown-hosted tournaments at the course since April 2012 that any player has failed to shoot even par or better.

Following Garcia's 21st-place finish for E-town was Adam Amspacher in 30th. Amspacher totaled eight pars during a round of 82 (+11).

Kyle Hakun made it around in 86 (+15) for 36th place on the leaderboard and Felix Goettfert was tied for 37th in his collegiate debut after shooting an 87 (+16). Hakun and Goettfert each registered birdies, with Hakun's coming  on the par-5, 491-yard 14th and Goettfert's on the 511-yard sixth, Tuesday's longest hole.

Elizabethtown's 'Blue' team also got an 89 from Chuck Johnston, who finished with a birdie and six pars on the afternoon. Eidle shot a career-best 88 for the 'Gray' team.

Joining Eidle on the 'Gray' roster were Brian Priebe (92), Adam Strayton (94), Tyler Goldberg (98) and Rick Stone (106), who was playing in his first career tournament as a Blue Jay.

Stevenson held on to beat McDaniel by a stroke for the team title, 306-307. The Mustangs shot a collective 22-over par. Marywood was a close third at 309 (+25), with Alvernia (319, +25) and Dickinson (323, +39) completing the top five.

DeSales' Dan McDonald was a shot behind medalists McKeogh and Potten with a 3-over 74. Alvernia teammates Brett Fernandes and Keith Noonan tied for fourth along with TimLaSarso of McDaniel and Michael Thomas of Marywood, all four carding 75s.

The Blue Jays are next scheduled to compete in the Messiah Falcon Fall Classic on Monday, Sept. 28, at Carlisle Country Club.
