Seven Blue Jays net goals in drubbing of Penn State Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Three Elizabethtown women's soccer players tallied their first career goals Friday and seven different players accounted for all seven goals in a 7-1 romp over Penn State Harrisburg.

The Jays were efficient in racking up their largest goal total of the season, scoring seven times on 16 shots.

Senior Lauren Fredericks put E-town (3-2-1) ahead in the 15th minute, the first of four strikes from the visitors in the first 45 minutes.

In the 20th minute, Kaceyanne Cerankowski set up Lauren Berry to double the Jays' lead. Trisha Clark (assisted by Maddie Burkhardt) in the 31st minute and Morgan Chambers in the 44th also netted first half goals.

All three second half goals from the Blue and Gray were career firsts for the players that scored them.

Sophomore Chelsea Dantona made it 5-0 in the 53rd minute. Then a pair of freshman teamed up as Nicole Krebs found Sophia Long for Long's first in the 68th minute.

Elizabethtown's lead would balloon to 7-0 on a Shannon Conlon goal in the 70th minute before the Lions' (0-4-1) Kristen Stark broke up the Jays shutout in the 79th.

Clark collected a game high three shots for the Jays, with Berry, Fredericks, Conlon and Long all had two.

Dana Robidoux earned the win in goal with two saves, while her counterpart, PSU Harrisburg's Samantha Kutcher, stopped five shots.

Elizabethtown caps its weekend with a home game against Washington and Lee Sunday at 3 p.m.
