Kuhn wins 100 fly for Blue Jays at York

YORK, Pa. – Freshman Tommy Kuhn won the 100-yard butterfly in his dual debut, as the Elizabethtown College men's swim team opened its dual season with a 162-42 setback at York (Pa.) Wednesday night.

Kuhn swam the fastest time by a Blue Jay in the event since Matt Drob's 55.70 at King's (Pa.) during the 2009-10 season, clocking in with a 57.10 to beat York's Nicholas Leidy by 1.2 seconds.

In the 100 freestyle, fellow freshman Nick Petrella finished runner-up to the Spartans' Morgan Schreiber in a time of 59.91. Guillaume Gouronc was third in a tight 100 breast, finishing in 1:05.31, less than two seconds off the win.

Kieran Koehler placed fourth in a tightly contested 50 free (23.51).

Elizabethtown resumes its dual schedule Saturday, Nov. 14, at Catholic.
