ResultsELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown won the first four events and never looked back in a 100-86 Landmark dual win over Drew Friday night at the Alumni Pool. Freshman
David Foery led the way with a pair of wins in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle.
The Blue Jays (2-2, 1-1 Landmark) won six events overall on the night to keep the Rangers (0-6, 0-3 Landmark) at bay.
Things started well for E-town, which won the 200 medley relay in 1:50.11, while an unfortunate disqualification left Drew without any points in the event.
Elizabethtown added to its lead in the 1000 free with
Frank Capria winning in 11:28.43. That was followed by the first of Foery's two wins, in the 200 free, and a
Kieran Koehler victory in the 50 free (24.24).
Drew's Logan Amodio won back-to-back races in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, before Foery was back on top in the 100 free with a time of 51.67. The victory by the Blue Jay freshman started a string of three straight wins for the home team.
Ramon Rios set a new season-best in the 100 backstroke, winning the event in 1:02.88, with
Jake Stonecipher doing the same in the 500 free (5:50.25).
Amodio won his third event of the evening in the 100 breast and the Rangers claimed a 200 free relay win in the final event of the night, but it was not enough to rally them past the Blue Jays.
Elizabethtown now heads to Lebanon Valley Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
