MADISON, N.J. – Elizabethtown men's swimming got three wins from Frank Capria and two more from David Foery to defeat FDU-Florham on the road, 96-77, Saturday for its first victory of the season.

The Blue Jays (2-1) started out behind the eight ball after dropping a neck-and-neck battle to the Devils (0-9) in the 200 medley relay. Elizabethtown quickly put that behind them, however, winning the next six events.

Capria started the winning stretch with an 11:01.80 in the 1000-yard freestyle. He'd go on to win the 200 individual medley in a season-best 2:15.10, and the 500 free in 5:27.50.

Foery posted wins in the 200 free and 100 free. In the 200, he held off FDU's Connor Zero by 1.2 seconds with a winning time of 1:57.20. Foery would set a new career-best in the 100, clocking in at 51.10 to triumph by five seconds over second place.

Sophomore Kieran Koehler dropped two-tenths of a second in the 50 free, winning the event with a 24-flat. Fellow soph Ramon Rios was the only swimmer to break 1:00 in the 100 butterfly, capturing max points for the Blue Jays with a 59.70.

Elizabethtown returns to the Alumni Pool next Friday to host Drew at 6:30 p.m.
