GLENSIDE, Pa. – Janelle Jablonski scored a pair of second-half goals to help Arcadia University to a 3-0 victory over Elizabethtown College in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer semifinal action on Tuesday afternoon.
Jablonski scored at 51:07 and 79:47 while Katie O'Malley scored on a first-half penalty kick for the Knights (15-1-3 overall), who will play the winner of Tuesday night's match between Albright College and Messiah College in Saturday's championship game. The Blue Jays end their season with an overall record of 9-10.
O'Malley put the Knights on the board at 12:42 with a penalty kick, and Arcadia carried the lead into the second half until Jablonski scored six minutes into the half off an assist by Stephanie Welch. Jablonski closed out the scoring with 10:13 to play with an unassisted tally.
Arcadia finished with a 14-8 advantage in shots over Elizabethtown and took both corner kicks in the match.
Jess Manchak played all 90 minutes in goal for the Blue Jays and made seven saves, while Jacki Law picked up the shutout win for the Knights by making four stops.
