Bowers Center for Sports, Fitness and Well-being
The Bowers Center for Sports, Fitness and Well-Being serves as a dynamic campus hub for health and well-being at Elizabethtown College.
Our state-of-the-art facility provides purposeful programming that inspires, educates, and empowers students and the campus community to cultivate healthy and active lifestyles, as well as supporting the College’s expanding athletics program.
Opening in 2019, the Bowers Center provides expanded opportunities for health promotion needed to meet national standards for college health. The Center demonstrates the College's commitment to campus well-being while filling a critical gap in health promotion programming. The facility includes work space for peer educators, educational workshops, and discrete areas for individual and group counseling needed to fully comply with privacy and confidentiality standards.
The Bowers Center was designed with the entire campus community in mind. Blue Jay varsity student-athletes benefit from the addition of a field house that includes a 180-meter Mondo track and three recreational courts. The Bowers Center has six new locker rooms, a fitness center with cardio, strength, conditioning and group fitness areas, and modernized athletic training area.
Additional features are a cafe smoothie bar, demonstration kitchen, wellness area, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit and indoor/outdoor community building and relaxation areas.
