Trinity Soto Landmark Women's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete

Soto named Landmark Women's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md. -- Trinity Soto has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete for the Elizabethtown College women's track & field team. Soto is the 11th senior scholar athlete for the program and fourth for the Blue Jays since joining the Landmark. The conference office announced the selection this afternoon.

Soto, a three-time All-Landmark First Team honoree in the discus, has been one of the top throwers in the conference for years. Nobody has beaten her at the Landmark Outdoor Championships in the discus the past three seasons as Soto has gone on to win three consecutive gold medals for Elizabethtown. She also placed twice in her premium event at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships, reaching fifth in 2022 and eighth last week at Susquehanna.

She was also recently named USTFCCCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region in the discus after her best mark of her career, 40.40m, put her third among her regional discus peers. The mark also reset her own school record.

Also an excellent student, Soto achieved a 3.87 GPA as a biology major at Etown and was a three-time Landmark Fall (women's soccer) and Spring Academic Honor Roll selection as well as a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honoree. Soto has also been a four-year Dean's List student and a finalist for the Blue Jay Athletic Association Female Distinguished Student-Athlete Award in 2023.

Soto is the second Blue Jay to earn the outdoor track & field distinction on the women's side after Erin Doherty did so in 2021.
