The second All-American in program history, Sanko is also a three-time NCAA qualifier and four-time All-Region honoree in cross country. Sanko is a four-time All-MAC first team runner and member of four MAC championship teams. On the men's track & field team, Sanko qualified for the NCAA Championship in the distance medley relay (DMR). He was a MAC individual champion in the 1500m (twice), 5K, 4x800, and DMR, and earned All-MAC 14 times. The 2005 MAC Senior- Scholar Athlete is in the top-10 in several indoor track events including the top time in the 1500m.
