Click here to watch Jackie (Zimmerman) Waldron's Hall of Fame induction speechJackie (Zimmerman) Waldron '99 is a native of Sinking Spring, Pa. and a 1995 graduate of Wilson High School. She was a four-year letterwinner with the women's swimming team and a two-time captain. The second women's swimmer inducted into the Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame all-time, Jackie became a member of the prestigious club in 2009.
Jackie holds the distinction of being the first student-athlete in school history to achieve All-America status all four years. She was the recipient of the David B. Eavenson Award, given to the Most Outstanding Swimmer at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, in 1996 and 1997.
Zimmerman won an astonishing 28 medals over four years at the MAC Championships, including 23 golds (10 individual, 13 relays). She swept the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke at all four MAC Championships in which she competed (1996-99).
The torch carrier for the women's swimming program, Zimmerman earned All-America status at the NCAA DIII Championships from 1996-99.
Following her graduation with an elementary education degree from Elizabethtown in 1999, (Zimmerman) Waldron worked for the College as an admissions counselor for seven years.
At the time of her induction, she was employed by the Milton Hershey School, serving in the same role.
Jackie and her husband, Bryan, resided in Middletown with their daughter as of 2009.
