Elaine Balaban Scholz '87 ranks 13th on E-town women's basketball's all-time scoring list, having scored 1,243 points from 1983-87. She is one of only four players in program history to register 1,000 or more points and 800 or more rebounds.
Balaban Scholz, a 1987 Middle Atlantic Conference Northern Division First Team All-Star, averaged 15.6 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game as a senior. She reached 1,000 points in a win at Lycoming on Jan. 21, 1987.
A part of 95 wins in her career, Elaine won MAC Championships with the Blue Jays in 1984 and 1986, advanced to three NCAA Division III Tournaments and was part of the 1984 national runner-up squad.
Balaban Scholz grew up in Camp Hill, Pa. and attended East Pennsboro High School, graduating in 1983. She earned her degree from Elizabethtown in business education.
