Doug Hess '96 started all but one of the 65 career games he played for Elizabethtown from 1993-95,
compiling nine goals and 23 assists as both a midfielder and defender.
Hess played on MAC Commonwealth League and Middle Atlantic Conference championship teams as a sophomore and junior,
and captained the Blue Jays to 17 victories, a MAC runner-up finish and NCAA tournament appearance as a senior in 1995.
A two-time All-MAC Commonwealth First Team pick (1994 and 1995), Hess enjoyed a career year in his final fall under coach Skip Roderick.
The Springfield, Pa., native set new career-highs with seven goals, 17 assists and 31 points
on his way to a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-America First Team.
Hess' 17 helpers remain the third most in a season in Elizabethtown history.
